In this day and age you’d be hard-pressed to find a person that doesn’t use an electric toothbrush. The only caveat to that argument falls under travel. Without a good case your brush can get damaged. Without a way to charge it, bringing it with you could be fruitless due to varying international voltages.
Philips created the Sonicare with both in mind. It comes with a cup that charges the brush at home, while the travel case itself actually charges the brush while abroad using a usb plug. With the success of the original Sonicare electric toothbrush, Philips capitalized on their achievement and brought a matching black model to market when they designed their newer, improved model.
